A tragic day for Tesla

The deaths of three employees in a plane crash has dealt a blow to Tesla Motors just as it had emerged from a rough patch to become the nation's leading electric carmaker.

"Tesla is a small, tightly knit company, and this is a tragic day for us," Chief Executive Elon Musk said in a statement. The company withheld the names of the three employees, saying it was working with authorities to contact family members.

Tesla is best known for its $109,000 Roadster, which can accelerate from zero to 60 miles per hour in under four seconds. Though only 1,000 Roadsters have been sold so far, they have quickly become a favorite car of Hollywood stars and valley tech executives.

Tesla is also widely viewed as a bellwether for Silicon Valley's burgeoning cleantech industry, as electric cars prepare to enter the U.S. market in force in the next few years.

Though Tesla is the only electric vehicle manufacturer with a car on the road today, it faces formidable competition from companies such as Nissan, which will introduce the all-electric Leaf later this year.

"Making a business case out of new technology is always difficult," said Andrew Frank of the University of California-Davis and an expert on electric vehicles. "But when you've got 1,000 EV's on the road, that's 1,000 more than anyone else."

Last month, Tesla announced it was seeking to raise $100 million in an initial public offering of stock, according to a filing with the

another more link with more detail about the TESLA employees' plane crash...

San Jose Mercury NEWS
http://www.mercurynews.com/peninsula/ci_14416855#map

If you zoom the map...
You'll note that plane crashed at the end of CYPRESS ST. (PALO ALTO)

Tesla
3 people killed,
3 houses damaged

"The pilot and two passengers — all employees of Tesla Motors — were killed and three houses were damaged, including a home daycare center."

"Pamela Houston and six others fled from the daycare as the plane came crashing down shortly before 8 a.m."

6 others...

Interesting that CYPRESS MOUNTAIN is a big part of the 21st 2010 Vancounver Olympic Winter Games.

And this plane crashed on Day 6 of the games - a day when the USA moved into the most medal wins (overtaking Germany) with 3 golds and 6 medals total for the day. (2.17.2010)

in the Wikipedia page for East Palo Alto (EAP/bAE/APE/AbE = ABE)
(b/P spinner!)

we find:

East Palo Alto also includes a small piece of land across the Bayshore Freeway (US 101) from the shopping center, a roughly triangular area between US 101 and the San Francisquito Creek, which includes a former two-block-long retail business district known as Whiskey Gulch. (The name dates back to the time that Stanford University, in Palo Alto to the west, was dry and prohibited alcohol sales within a radius of one mile (1.6 km) from the campus: Whiskey Gulch was just outside the limits, and was home to a number of liquor stores and bars.) The city has torn down Whiskey Gulch and replaced it with the University Circle office complex.

"101" features prominently so... let's look at that one...

All the following are equal to the decimal number 101 !
(different BASE number systems)

HEX: 65
DEC: 101
OCT: 145
BIN: 1100101

chr(0x65) Using ANSI letter coding we get the Latin character "A"

and behold our number sequence (in OCTAL)
"145"
mentioned in the previous Strange Eye Olympic articles.... and Post Comments.

14.5

As if ABE wasn't enough by itself
(Jupiter/Zeus/ABE connection)

Isn't it fascinating that the company company using the acronym "BAE"
(extracted from 'East Palo Alto' [EPA] using inversion b/P and then anagram to bAE - much like we do with the 'WE3M-SHIN-PSI' spinner)
also has a huge investment and several of their own related patents on TESLA technology
(ref: Nicola Tesla)

BAE is also connected to Tesla's HAARP technology.

Fascinating that it should semiotically connect so strongly to this event... Just another fascinating semiotic coincidence...
