A transit of Venus across the Sun takes place when the planet Venus passes directly between the Sun and Earth, obscuring a small portion of the solar disk. During a transit, Venus can be seen from Earth as a small black disk moving across the face of the Sun. The duration of such transits is usually measured in hours (the transit of 2004 lasted six hours).

It is interesting to note that the Constellation of TAURUS is associated with the religious notion of "HEAVEN" and the Constellation of SCORPIO is associated with HADES and the notion of HELL or the Underworld.
The Planet VENUS is also known as VESPER (the Evening Star) and LUCIFER (The Morning Star).
From the list above we can see "Lucifer" moving back and forth between HEAVEN and HELL during the Transits of Venus - in a cycle of (8 + 105.5 + 8 + 121.5) = 243 years
The sidereal period of Venus is 224.701 days and that of the Earth is 365.256 days. The synodic period for Venus, or the period between successive appearances of Venus at the same point relative to the Sun as seen from the Earth, is 583.924 days. It can be shown that 5 synodic periods of Venus (2919.62 days) corresponds very closely to 8 Earth orbital periods (2922.05 days) or indeed 13 orbital periods of Venus (2921.11 days). This underpins the 8 year periodicity in the transits of Venus.
Thus the myth of the Pentagram and LUCIFER is born...
Amazing what a little knowledge of ASTRONOMY can do to mythology!
So, the next time you hear someone talk about "LUCIFER" and "THE DEVIL", you can explain to them from whence that myth actually originates!
(SIDE NOTE:) Some scholars and archaeo-astronomers, such as Immanuel Velikovsky believe, due to current orbital and rotational anomalies, that planet VENUS / LUCIFER once wreaked havoc on Earth - through an unstable orbit and a close approach to (and perhaps even impact with) our planet...
... Bumping our Earth and moving it approximately 5.256 days out of orbit - forever disconnecting the origin of the circle of 360 degrees from a now altered Earth orbit of 365.256 days.
... but I'll leave you to explore the validity of those ideas and how they might fit into mythology on your own!

Pi Day and Pi Approximation Day are two holidays held to celebrate the mathematical constant π (pi) (in the mm/dd date notation: 3/14); since 3, 1 and 4 are the first three digits of π. March 14 is also the birthday of Albert Einstein and the two events are sometimes celebrated together.
Pi Approximation Day is observed on July 22, because of Archimedes' popular approximation of π being 22/7. However, this may be considered misleading, as all cited dates are "approximation days" (as π is an irrational number) and 22/7 is actually a closer approximation of π than 3.14 is. Typically, March 14 is more popular for countries using the month/day format and the 22nd of July is more popular for countries using the day/month format.
Sometimes Pi Minute is also celebrated; this occurs twice on March 14 at 1:59 a.m. and 1:59 p.m. If π is truncated to seven decimal places, it becomes 3.1415926; making March 14 at 1:59:26 p.m., Pi Second (or sometimes March 14, 1592 at 6:53:58 a.m.). If 24-hour time is used, Pi Minute occurs once, on March 14 (3/14) at 1:59.
There are a large variety of ways of celebrating Pi Day and most of them include eating pie and discussing the relevance of π. The first Pi Day celebration was held at the San Francisco Exploratorium in 1988, with staff and public marching around one of its circular spaces, then consuming fruit pies. The museum has since added pizza to its Pi Day menu.
The founder of Pi Day was Larry Shaw, a now-retired physicist at the Exploratorium who still helps out with the celebrations.
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology often mails its acceptance letters to be delivered to prospective students on Pi Day.
Some also celebrate alternative Pi Days and/or Pi Approximation Days in addition to the two listed above; these can fall on any of several dates:
March 4: When 14% of the 3rd month has elapsed.
April 26: The Earth has traveled two radians of its orbit on this day (April 25 in leap years), reckoning from the start of the calendar year on January 1. Thus the entire orbit divided by the distance traveled equals π; two radians equals 1⁄π of our orbit. This is celebrated exactly on the 41st second of the 23rd minute of the 4th hour on April 26 or the 116th day. (In leap years, it is celebrated exactly on the 3rd second of the 2nd minute of the 12th hour on April 25 or the 116th day.) This celebration is not a Pi Approximation Day.
[the second occurs 116 days later on August 20, (8/20 day 232) - astute observers will note that the 2 days fall in the only 2 months of the calendrical year to begin with the letter "A" in the english language... Letter "A" is symbolic representation of the COMPASSES, a tool used to draw a perfect circle.]

The lift-off of mission STS-130 of the Space Shuttle Endeavour has been scrubbed and rescheduled for 0914 GMT (4:14am EST), Monday, February 8, 2010.
At that moment, from the view of Washington, DC, the largest planet in our solar system, Jupiter will be at -42 deg ALT in the East. The Sun will be at -33 deg ALT in the East.

The Space Shuttle Endeavour is named after the HM (Bark) Endeavour which was captained by Captain James Cook (7.11.1728 - 2.14.1779). Cook's maps of the St. Lawrence allowed General Wolfe to make his famous stealth attack on the Plains of Abraham,
STS-130 (ISS assembly flight 20A) is the next scheduled space shuttle mission to the International Space Station (ISS). This 32nd flight to the ISS will use Space Shuttle Endeavour. Launch was originally scheduled for 7 February 2010 at 04:39 EST, but was scrubbed due to clouds over Kennedy Space Center. The flight is currently targeted for a 8 February 2010 launch. Launch time is 04:14 EST (09:14 UTC).
The primary payloads are scheduled to be the Tranquility module and the Cupola (Latin cupella from the Greek kypellon [Key-Palin?]), a robotic control station with six windows around its sides and another in the center that provides a 360-degree view around the station.
Space Shuttle Endeavour (Orbiter Vehicle Designation: OV-105) is one of three currently operational orbiters in the Space Shuttle fleet of NASA, the space agency of the United States. (The other two are Discovery and Atlantis.) Endeavour is the fifth and final spaceworthy NASA space shuttle to be built, constructed as a replacement for Challenger. Endeavour first flew in May 1992 on mission STS-49 and is scheduled for decommissioning in 2010. Before being decommissioned NASA expects to use Endeavour for the STS-130 and STS-134 missions.
The United States Congress authorized the construction of Endeavour in 1987 to replace Challenger, which was lost in an accident in 1986. Structural spares from the construction of Discovery and Atlantis, two of the three remaining operating shuttles at the time, were used in its assembly. The decision to build Endeavour was favored over refitting Enterprise on cost grounds.
The orbiter is named after the British HMS Endeavour, the ship which took Captain James Cook on his first voyage of discovery (1768-1771). This is why the name is spelled in the British English manner, rather than the American English ("Endeavor"). This has caused confusion, most notably when NASA themselves misspelled a sign on the launch pad in 2007. The name also honored Endeavour, the Command Module of Apollo 15.
According to NASA, Endeavour will be decommissioned in 2010, after 18 years of service, along with Discovery and Atlantis. NASA expects to have the Orion spacecraft ready no later than 2014.

Captain James Cook FRS RN (7 November [O.S. 27 October] 1728 – 14 February 1779) was an English explorer, navigator and cartographer, ultimately rising to the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy. Cook was the first to map Newfoundland prior to making three voyages to the Pacific Ocean during which he achieved the first European contact with the eastern coastline of Australia and the Hawaiian Islands as well as the first recorded circumnavigation of New Zealand.
Cook joined the British merchant navy as a teenager and joined the Royal Navy in 1755. He saw action in the Seven Years' War, and subsequently surveyed and mapped much of the entrance to the Saint Lawrence River during the siege of Quebec. This allowed General Wolfe to make his famous stealth attack on the Plains of Abraham, and helped to bring Cook to the attention of the Admiralty and Royal Society. This notice came at a crucial moment both in his personal career and in the direction of British overseas exploration, and led to his commission in 1766 as commander of HM Bark Endeavour for the first of three Pacific voyages.
Cook charted many areas and recorded several islands and coastlines on European maps for the first time. His achievements can be attributed to a combination of seamanship, superior surveying and cartographic skills, courage in exploring dangerous locations to confirm the facts (for example dipping into the Antarctic circle repeatedly and exploring around the Great Barrier Reef), an ability to lead men in adverse conditions, and boldness both with regard to the extent of his explorations and his willingness to exceed the instructions given to him by the Admiralty.
Cook died in Hawaii in a fight with Hawaiians during his third exploratory voyage in the Pacific in 1779.

During the Austrian July Revolt of 1927 (also known as Black Friday), 84 protesters were killed by Austrian police forces[1], while four policemen died, on July 15, 1927. More than 600 people were injured.
The clash was the result of conflict between the Social Democrats and an alliance including wealthy industrialists and the Roman Catholic Church in Austria. Both paramilitary forces had been created during the 1920s, namely the right-wing Heimwehr in 1921-1923 and the left-wing Republikanischer Schutzbund in 1923.
A clash between those groups in Schattendorf, Burgenland, on January 30, 1927 resulted in the death of a man and a child. Right-wing veterans were indicted for those deaths at a court in Vienna in July, but acquitted in a jury trial. This led to a general strike which had the aim of bringing down the government headed by Chancellor Ignaz Seipel. Massive protests resulted in a fire at the Justizpalast in Vienna. Police minister Johann Schober attempted to suppress the protests with force, which resulted in 84 deaths.
The First Battle of Bull Run, also known as the First Battle of Manassas (the name used by Confederate forces and still often used in the Southern United States), was fought July 21, 1861, near Manassas, Virginia. It was the first major land battle of the American Civil War.

Published On Thu Jan 28 2010 - A block of the Financial District has reopened following a five-hour closure after window panes fell 27 floors from a King Street skyscraper this afternoon, littering the ground below with shattered glass.
Pieces of glass from three giant window panes fell from the Royal Trust Tower at 77 King St. W., next to the TD Canada Trust building, this morning after a piece of wood slammed into the 27th and 28th floors at around 8 a.m., police said.
The wood swung from construction on the north side of the First Canadian Place building across the street, said Sgt. Nancy Van Veghel.
Van Veghel said shards of glass and debris fell from the skyscraper throughout the morning as construction workers replaced the broken windows. Pedestrians and traffic were still moving on the streets below until King Street was closed at around 11 a.m. between York and Bay streets.
The street was reopened at 3:45 p.m.
Strong gusts of wind that caused the scaffolding to crash into the windows also made the area more hazardous, said Staff Sgt. John Boyce of 52 division. He said the windows are about 10-feet-tall and 5-feet-wide.

I've received several messages basically asking me the question "How do you get 7/2/2010 from the State of the Union Address Strange Eye!!"??? (expletives omitted of course ;)
Well let's see if we can explain a couple of the finer details of the procedure a little Bit Better... To truly understand it, however, you would need to fully understand exactly how Alchemical Information has been encoded into everyday works, innocuously and generally unnoticed, since writing was first invented... But that's something you'll need to figure out and explore on your own.

The show is broadcast live in the Central and Eastern time zones (with a time delay in the Mountain Time Zone and Pacific Time Zone) from Studio 8H at the GE Building in New York's Rockefeller Center.

This 10.17.2009 episode of SNL had the common theme of "Asses" - yes I mean rumps, buttocks, derrieres, bootys... Why? To point to the STARS of course! As in the constellation of the white winged equine (Horse / Horus) Pegasus (Peg-ASUS). (the pale equine-ox)

A Cirque du Soleil performer has died in a Montreal hospital after suffering head injuries when he fell off a trampoline while training Friday.
The Cirque issued a statement Saturday saying Oleksandr Zhurov, a Ukrainian in his 20s, had died. The accident happened during a regular training session at a Montreal facility where the international troupe rehearses for shows.
An emergency services official said Zhurov was unconscious when an ambulance arrived at the scene.
"He had head trauma, so we quickly transported the victim to the hospital," said Benoit Garneau, operations chief for an ambulance service.
"Today, it is all of Cirque that is in mourning," said Guy Laliberté, the troupe's founder. "I am deeply saddened to learn of the death of Sacha. My thoughts are with his parents and his family, to whom I offer my deepest sympathy.
"Sacha was part of the extended Cirque family for the few months he was among us," he said. "An incident like this reminds us of the courage and determination displayed by our artists each and every day. They are exceptional human beings who share their talents with great generosity."
The Cirque said it would not make any further comments since a coroner's inquiry into the death is underway. It added that it would co-operate fully with the investigation.

Oleksandr Zhurov performer in Cirque du Soleil dies of head injury in trampoline accident...
MONTREAL – After a 12-day voyage into space, Guy Laliberte made a safe return to earth early Sunday morning.
The Soyuz space capsule containing Canada’s first space tourist, along with Russian cosmonaut Gennady Padalka and American astronaut Michael Barratt, touched down without incident in Kazakhstan.
Laliberte’s friends and family were able to watch the landing from the Canadian Space Agency’s facilities back home in Canada.
The billionaire founder of the Cirque du Soleil was helped out of the capsule wearing his trademark red clown’s nose. He needed several minutes to acclimatize himself to the earth’s gravity before he was able to move around without assistance.
On Sept. 30, Laliberte blasted off from the Russian space centre at Baikonur, Kazakhstan, on his way to the International Space Station (ISS). His crewmates on that initial trip were the American Jeffrey Williams and the Russian Maksim Surayev, who will remain aboard the ISS until next March.
Barratt and Padalka were already on the ISS when Laliberte arrived.
The 50-year-old is the world’s seventh space tourist and paid $35 million for the experience. He used his time on the ISS to showcase his One Drop Foundation whose mission is to promote the availability of clean drinking water around the world.
While in orbit, Laliberte hosted a two-hour broadcast featuring Cirque performers as well as David Suzuki, former US vice-president Al Gore, and musicians U2 and Shakira.
